How to Produce Dog Training Fun With All the Sit & Stay Game

How rewarding it’s for your pet to sit down and remain evenly before you let him to get some food, or treat or a toy. And for the pet, this is an excellent experience until one to give the command to wait. Your dog really wants to communicate with you because that is how. You are in control of his space and he’ll obey and reward you when you make training fun.

The Stay & Sit Game makes training your dog to sit and stay an enjoyable and rewarding experience for you both.

Rules of the Game

Pick a high-wages food and make sure your pet is starving and able to eat.

Decide on the “Command” word. Ensure that it stays consistent, something like “Sit (or Stay or Wait)” works well.

Decide on the “No Benefit” marker word, something like “Nope (or Too Awful or Opps)” functions nicely.

Watch your dog’s language. The way a dog says “please” would be to enter into the “sit” position.

Be patient. You dog will sit to say “please” (eventually).

Sit & Stay Food Bowl Game

When a dog desires food, a toy dog, to play, or perhaps going out the doorway, he looks to get an order from the pack leader. So hereis a fantastic method to train your dog that is rewarding and interesting. In exactly the same time, you’re giving your dog the feeling that you’re the pack leader:

Stand sideways with one shoulder facing him. Hold the bowl on the contrary side.

Begin to lessen the bowl straight down to a floor. Then ask your pet to sit down again. (You may have to step from location in order to face your pet sideways or put him back into position if he’s scooted forward). The key would be to begin fresh from the same position again.

When the SIT POSTURE is maintained by your dog, start lowering the bowl to the floor–while he’s still in position. Pull the bowl if your dog starts to get up to arrive at the bowl. The key is which you are bending down with all the bowl and pulling back together with the bowl before you can set it on the floor while your pet is HOLDING THE SIT POSTURE.

While he’s in the sit position, make eye contact along with your dog. You would like your pet to stay in the sit position AND make eye contact, before you provide it to him and transfer the bowl to your pet.

When you have placed the bowl on the ground, say “Remain” (or your command word), wait a few seconds, then transfer the bowl towards your pet and let him to eat. Don’t expect too much from your dog, yet. Just a couple of seconds of HOLDING THE STAY POSITION “wait” time is good initially.

When your dog has maintained the SIT & STAY for a couple of seconds, then transfer the bowl toward your dog and allow him to eat his food. You are developing your dog’s behaviour so that you can get the benefit, to sit and wait for your command.

You can test this with a treat, a ball or toy also.

The Sit & Stay Game is not only about training your dog to sit down and stay for food. It is about the compliments you give–and also the happiness you get when your dog stays and sits for you. What it is actually about is winning a fun and rewarding relationship for ware dog training both your dog and you!
